Tom heads up Laird PLC’s Group Reward function, a role that he has held for the last few years. Over his tenure his remit has expanded starting with ownership of the Employee Share Purchase Plans to now including all aspects of Compensation and Benefits globally. He also has accountability for Executive Remuneration working with the Remuneration Committee to ensures consistency of Reward design throughout the company. Tom is a generalist HR Director by background, with 15 years’ experience and has chosen to undertake this role (alongside his Corporate HR Director role) in order to broaden his own understanding of the link between Performance and Reward and the mechanisms that can be used to drive company culture. Prior to Laird, Tom has worked for some of the largest blue-chip organizations globally including; Heinz, Barclays Bank and Transport for London.
Tom Dewaele is 39 and has more than 15 years’ experience in various fields across HR, both in expertise and as HR business partner.
He started his career in market research but after one year moved to HR, joining beer industry leader AB InBev to join the trainee program. He took various roles in HR expertise focusing on talent development and on reward. He worked as business partner in different environments including production environment, sales & marketing offices, business centers and headquarters. In his last role he was HR Director joining the board of 1bn EUR business in BeNeFralux.
He joined Unilever in 2010 as VP Reward for Europe. In July 2013 he moved to Warsaw to become the VP HR for CEE, double hatting as HR Director for Poland and Baltics. After 3,5 years of living in Warsaw, he moved to the UK and since December 2016, he is leading Global HR Services for Unilever. In his new role he is part of Unilever global business services organization and member of the global HR leadership team at Unilever. His primary focus is to make the employee experience at Unilever as simple and delightful as it can be, allowing people to be their best: boosting sustainable growth! Creating more personalization, convenience and capacity through the use of technology which can be reinvested into a more human, more simple and more impactful HR approach.
Being a native Belgian, Tom studied Psychology at the Catholic University in Leuven and a master in business planning at the Vlekho Business School in Brussels.
He is happily married with Veerle and has 2 daughters of 12 and 8 years old. He is located in London, UK. His passions include running, snowboarding and travelling.

Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic is an international authority in psychological profiling, talent management, leadership development, and people analytics. He is the CEO of Hogan Assessment Systems, and Professor of Business Psychology at University College London (UCL), and Columbia University. He has previously held positions at New York University and the London School of Economics, and lectured at Harvard Business School, Stanford Business School, London Business School, Johns Hopkins, IMD, and INSEAD.
Dr. Tomas has published 9 books and over 130 scientific papers (h index 58), making him one of the most prolific social scientists of his generation. His work has received awards by the American Psychological Association and the International Society for the Study of Individual Differences, to which he was director (2011-2013). Dr. Tomas is also the founding director of UCL’s Industrial-Organizational and Business Psychology program, and the Chief Psychometric Advisor to Harvard’s Entrepreneurial Finance Lab.

Tony’s career combines both Human Resources and third party global mobility management experience. For a total of 17 years he ran the in-house expatriate’s programmes for Prudential of America, based in New Jersey and Credit Suisse in London. In 2001 Tony’s career switched to the service provider side when he became the Managing Director for an American based Relocation Management Company where he was instrumental in the globalisation of the firm. In his current role at LSS, Tony is responsible for Global Operations, Client Relationships and Finance.

Wendy’s last executive director role was as Director of Corporate Services at the University of East London, where her responsibilities included HR and a number of other corporate areas. She was formerly the Director of Human Resources for the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) – the organisation responsible for developing and building the new venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games – where she led the HR function for seven years. She is currently a Non-Executive Director at the Ministry of Defence, is a member of the Engage for Success Task Force, and chairs the Advisory Board of Global Diversity Practice.
Wendy’s earlier career spanned the public and private sectors, and she previously held senior HR roles in Defra, EDF Energy, Standard Chartered Bank and Littlewoods. She is particularly interested in creating high-performing organisations, diversity/inclusion, organisational change/culture, and employee engagement.
